Dr Yousuf Mahomed

I am a medical doctor currently working as the Head of Department of the Emergency Department of Madadeni Regional Hospital in Newcastle, Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. I have held this position since 2015 and am passionate about emergency medicine and teaching of young doctors.

I am also very involved in studying customer relationship management and am a certified Salesforce Administrator (with plans to add more certifications in the near future), and am a full ranger on Salesforce Trailhead. I am a firm believer that the future of medicine is in the cloud.

I am also currently learning, and have been certified in, responsive web design (HTML & CSS), and have also completed two JavaScript courses . I have also done courses in CLI, GIT, various text editors (including basic VIM), and am adept at the Microsoft Office Suite of programs.

I am passionate about using technology to improve the practice of medicine. This includes using it in teaching, patient analysis, and patient experience improvement. I offer a unique combination of practical medical knowledge (gained over 20 years of practice), combined with the technical knowledge and technical sophistication to allow me to understand both sides of the coin when it comes to medical technical advancement and programming.

I am hoping to attract those in the health information management and Salesforce spheres. This website is here to showcase me as an individual and a potential employee.
